Meet the Team
Sarah is the sole Director of Olex Accounting Limited and an Associate Chartered Accountant with years of accounting experience. Sarah has extensive accounting and taxation knowledge that she enjoys passing onto our clients. She does an excellent job working with clients to ensure both their financial and personal goals are met.
Outside of the accounting world, Sarah has a rewarding family life with two active boys, while also supporting her husband in his busy role. When time allows, she can be found at the family bach in Twizel.
Sarah combined the names of her two son’s Alex and Ollie to form Olex Accounting; keeping the tradition going of using a family name for the business.
Stephen is a fully qualified Chartered Accountant who has gained wide accounting and commercial insight by working both in public practice accounting offices and commercial office environments.
Stephen is now a Consultant of Olex Accounting, doing project work with clients.
With a desire to build a deeper and more understanding relationship with our clients, and using technology to assist in the delivery of accounting has us excited about the services we can offer to our clients.
Stephen enjoys many sporting activities including helping to coach his children’s sports teams where possible. He is a keen basketballer and enjoys following the English football leagues and NBA basketball.
Miracle joined the team in May 2018, she is an Accounting Technician with CAANZ.
She enjoys working with clients to ensure they make the most of, cloud-based accounting software, particularly Xero.
Her caring nature for people, makes her approachable and relatable.
In Miracle’s spare time, she is busy running the family Plumbing business with her husband and taxiing their children to their sporting activities.
Cathy joined the team in 2019, and uses her excellent communication and organisational skills to support the Accounting team.
Cathy is an avid card player and as the president of the Cashmere Club card sections and can be frequently found running social and south island events in Euchre, Cribbage and 500 at the Cashmere Club.
Cathy is a real asset to the team.
Andrew joined the team in 2023, he is currently working towards his Chartered Accountancy qualification.
Andrew is kept busy in his spare time with this study, and his wife and young daughter.
With Sonia’s years of experience in the chartered accountant world, she was a great addition to the team in 2023.
Her accounting and managerial skills are invaluable, both internally for the team and for our clients.
In her spare time, she can be found with her husband, two children, 2 dogs, 1 rabbit and in the kitchen baking cakes
Rebecca (Bec) started working with the Olex team in June 2022 and is a Personal Assistant.
She was a full-time Mum before coming to Olex, but prior to motherhood Bec worked for many years in accounting firms both in Christchurch and in Perth, Australia. Working with accountants for all those years, must mean we are great company to be around!!
Bec enjoys spending time with her young family, camping and boating and attempts minor house renovations.
